It was all started a couple of years ago when we did our first Liveaboard trip with the boys at Komodo National Park back in 2015. It was great experience that I won’t ever forget. And we agreed that, “Hey, we should do this again, and our next trip should be in Raja Ampat!” I totally agreed.
It took us 4 years to make it come true. Since we have to established Air Dive Alor in 2017. After two years, then we had a chance to do it this Feb.
i was so excited that until day 1 I almost didn’t do any research about diving in Raja Ampat. What i know is, i will have a liveaboard trip in Raja Ampat for 8D/7N. I don’t bother if its going to south or north, i let @justmaul arrange what is best to us and of course let the universe (weather conditions) decide.
it was @justmaul who actually triggered us to have this trip this year. Last year, he informed us (boys at Brotrip) that he got an offer from Benetta which he joined their trip earlier, he said it will be a good price for this. I said “i am in if everybody’s in. We once planned for this, right?”
To chartered a phinisi means you book the whole ship and a crew plus two divemasters. The quota was maximum 8 divers, Brotrip guys only 6 people, and in around mid last year, @jeprisinaga have to canceled the trip since he has another plan for this year. So we have three quota left. Then we started to send the invitation to some of our closest friends who might be interested with the trip. And we are happy that Ipeh, Idel, and Moyo can join. We got the all crew, everybody were excited.
So here we are, diving in one of the most rich marine life in the world!
